Use of Earthing system

Use of Earthing system 

Earthing is used to protect us from an electric shock.
It provide a path to the fault current to flow to earth. It protects the protective device such as circuit-breaker or fuse by switching off the electric current to the circuit that has the fault.

Reasons why we need Earthing are given below: -
1. Earthing protects our electrical equipment from leakage current and also protects us from electric shock.
2. It also protects the building from lightning during thunderstorm.
